built by the King of Sikkim in 1932 as his Royal Guest
House where he received and entertained Heads of States
and dignitaries. Today the 4800 sq ft Function Room is
the imposing lobby of the oldest heritage hotel in Gangtok.
The heritage building still hosts all important visitors
to the capital of Sikkim. From his holiness The Dalai
