Kasmanda Palace Hotel one of the oldest building of Mussoorie was originally a part of the Christ Church Complex which was built in 1836 by Captain Renei Tailour of the Bengal Engineers. It subsequently became a Sanatorium for the British forces and during the latter part of the century, was one of the first schools to be set up, at Mussoorie in 1915 it became the summer retreat of the royal family of KASMANDA. Much has been said about the elegant living styles of the British Raj and gracious splendour of the bouseholds of Indian Royalty.
